Christian
Brothers School is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The school
is in City Park and surrounded by City Park's Bayou Oaks Golf Course.
The building, known as the McFadden mansion, was a vacation home in the early 1900's. The Brothers first obtained a lease for the building
in 1959. After some renovations, the school was opened in 1960.

The
first floor of the building serves as classrooms and offices. The
second floor is the reserved for Christian Brothers who work in the
school. Covering six acres, there are several large grass areas that
serve as a playing area for its students and some small ponds that attract
birds and other wild life. Situated away from any heavily traveled
streets and in the environment of the park, the school provides a
wonderful location for the boys attending the school.
The school is open to boys in grades 5 through 7. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, or national origin. Applicants must complete an entrance examination prior to being admitted to the school. The results of this test and their most recent report card are used by the administration to determine admission to the school. Applicants must be aware that Christian Brothers School operates as a traditional academic institution. The physical limitations of the school restrict the accommodations that we are able to offer our students. The limited size of the classrooms also restricts the number of students accepted.
